Lemons are reported to be a naturally occurring hybrid between bitter orange (sour orange) and citron. Citron is one of the three naturally occurring wild species of citrus. The largest producers of lemons are the United States, Argentina, and India. Lemons, this citrus fruit has no saturated fat, no cholesterol, a little sodium (naturally), and is a good source of minerals and vitamins. Lemons provide a high level of potassium and folate. Drinking lemon tea not only increases your daily intake of vitamin C, but it is also extremely beneficial in boosting the immune system, cleansing the liver, flushing waste and toxins, aid digestion and weight loss.

Directions: Boil water, add one washed and sliced lemon, boil for 5 minutes, strain and pour into a cup, add honey if desired, or enjoy without sweetener. Optional: Mint or cinnamon may be added to your lemon tea for a cascade of additional flavor.
